"Mission Itihaas" is a long-term project that aims to celebrate and preserve the rich cultural heritage of our region.
The goal is to document and create a database that can be helpful in preserving historical structures that have been overlooked or neglected, including religious buildings, communal structures, institutional buildings, public squares, archaeological sites and all those structures with some historical significance.
Through capturing photographs, architectural documentation, and detailed histories, "Mission Itihaas" hopes to raise awareness about the importance of architecture in our daily lives and promote a greater appreciation of our region's cultural heritage.
With a primary focus on the region of Pakistan, the project seeks to engage and inspire people from all backgrounds to explore and appreciate the fascinating structures that make up our communities. "Mission Itihaas" aims to make a positive impact on society and promote greater understanding and appreciation of the rich history of our soil.
In this effort, we'll need help from all those who are interested in culture and heritage and its preservation, especially from students of art & architecture, history and cultural studies. And also from local tour guides and photographers.
The on-site documentation activity will be mainly for architecture and history enthusiasts.
- Architecture students are welcome to join us for city excursions.
The programme for the activities will be announced on the website very soon.
